Maddox Jolie-Pitt was born Rath Vibol in Cambodia on August 5, 2001. He was given up for adoption and lived in a local orphanage in Battambang, which is where Angelina Jolie and he first met. Angelina had spent time in Cambodia when she was working on her movie, Tomb Raider, and that is when she decided that she wanted to adopt a child. She officially adopted him on March 10, 2002.
After Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt became a couple, Brad adopted Maddox, changing his surname from Jolie to Jolie-Pitt. Maddox’s full name is Maddox Chivan Jolie-Pitt.
Maddox is well-known and much loved by all of the Jolie-Pitt fans. As the first child of Angelina and Brad, he has seen five siblings come into his life. He is currently enrolled in the Lycee-Francais school. It belongs to a network of over 400 French schools worldwide which allows to Maddox and his siblings to go to school no matter which country the family is living in at the time.
He’s a great older brother. I feel he will do great things in his life.
Maddox is a really cute little boy! He certainly is a very loving big brother to all his younger siblings. I think that he´s the one who most likely will continue his parents´ work as a humanitarian. I could be wrong. Maybe all the JP kids will be involved in charity work in some way but Mad will certainly begin it first since he´s the oldest. Or maybe he´ll fulfill his dad´s biggest dream and becomes an architect. Who knows. But whatever he does the main thing is that he stays happy and healthy and the same goes for other members of this wonderful family!
