From 2008 Santa Barbara Film Festival = it makes me giggle because of the twins!
You all know that I’m not a huge Tarantino fan. I mean, his movies are okay, for the most part, but they’re not generally my cup of tea.
Apparently Kirk Douglas disagrees!

The Santa Barbara Film Festival will fete Quentin Tarantino with the 2009 Kirk Douglas Award for Excellence in Film.
The opening for the helmer’s “Inglourious Basterds” was his biggest to date, with $38 million at the domestic B.O. in its first weekend.
The honor will be presented by Douglas to Tarantino at the Four Seasons Biltmore in Santa Barbara during a gala dinner on Oct. 22.
The 25th Santa Barbara fest will run Feb. 4-14.
So he’ll receive the award at a gala dinner – but will he also get one at the Santa Barbara festival in February? And will Brad be on hand when Tarantino receives his award at the gala dinner? What do you guys think?
Thanks for the news, Randi! Although I´m not a very big fan of Quentin Tarantino or his movies I´m still happy for him for getting such a prestigious award. I´m most definitely go and see Inglourious Basterds when it opens up here in Fiinland next week (September 4). I´ve read from Sherry´s site that it´s a good movie although it is violent like all QT´s movies. But I think that Brad alone is a good enough reason to go and see this. And the rest of the actors (Diane Kruger, Eli Roth, Christoph Waltz etc.) are also brilliant in their roles. Seen clips of the movie in youtube and they seem very interesting. Someone has even said that it´s a funny movie. I really hope so!
Hope Brad will go and bring along Angie. I read somewhere that Kirk Douglas one last wish is to meet Angelina Jolie! I’m hoping that all the cast will be there to support QT.
Jane, that’s right, Kirk did say he wanted to meet Angie. I think that if Brad is not involved with making a movie he would attend the dinner.

I don’t know if is going to be there but I definitely want him to be and of course I want Angie to be there too!!!I guess only time will tell…
